Terminology

FTP

FTP stands for First Time Played, markin' the very first time a song made its debut on stage by the band. It’s like notchin’ a new milestone on the wagon trail—when you see FTP next to a song, you know that tune was just introduced to the world, fresh as a prairie morning.

Streak

A song streak is when a tune latches on like a burr on a cowboy’s boot, gettin’ played show after show without missin’ a beat. The longer the streak, the more that song starts to feel like part of the band’s wild ride.

Gap /

That there stopwatch shows a gap—a spell where a song took a break and didn’t make the setlist for a stretch of shows. When you spot that icon, you’ll know that tune was takin' it easy before jumpin’ back into the lineup.

Segue >

That “>” symbol is what we call a segue—it tells you there was no break between songs. One tune flowed right into the next, seamless as a river runnin’ downstream. When you see that arrow, you’ll know the band kept the music rollin’ without missin' a beat!

Annotation ¹

An annotation is a special marker sittin’ right next to a song, set, or show. It’s like a trail sign, lettin' you know there’s somethin’ unique about that performance—maybe a different band member took the lead, or someone switched up their instrument. Show Dater

Well, Daniel first took to the stage for a payin' crowd in 2009, though Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country wasn’t officially billed as such until 2016. From then on, we’ve been workin’ to capture every setlist and song we can get. But when it comes to those early days, we’re often left piecin' together planned setlists or fan recollections, so we cain’t always be sure what actually made it into the show.

If you find gaps or missin' details, reckon it’s just part of the mystery of those early trails. We’re always on the lookout, gatherin' up more dater as it comes our way, so stay tuned—more pieces of the Cosmic Country tale might come ridin’ in yet!
